Privacy

A plain-language draft of how a learner’s information is handled.

DRAFT. This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not a final legal policy. It must be reviewed and completed before real learners use the product.

What the app keeps

A nickname, class, board and language choices; the questions a learner asks the tutor; notes they save; practice, revision and progress records; and the settings they choose (such as Calm mode).

In this early version these records are kept in the app’s own storage on the machine that runs it. This is a prototype and does not yet give a production-grade privacy or security guarantee.

What is sent to other services

Tutor questions, lesson requests and scanned photos are sent to an AI service so it can write an answer. The service used can change, so this page will name the providers once they are final.

When the tutor reads an answer aloud, the text of that answer is sent to a text-to-speech service. Sign-in uses a separate sign-in service.

Because of this, learners should never type or photograph full names, home addresses, phone numbers, school names or other details that identify them.

Children

This app is meant for school-age children. A parent or guardian should set it up and read this page with the child. A formal guardian and consent step has not been built yet.

Choices

A signed-in learner can download their data or delete their account from Account & privacy inside the app. Where a feature is not available yet, the app says so.

A support address has not been set up yet. See the contact page.
